Turriff and District Heritage Society was formed in 1979 and today cares for and displays artefacts, photographs and other memorabilia in two museums in the town.
Auld Post Office Museum 24 High Street Turriff
The Auld Post Office Museum houses Town Council Memorabilia, Turra Coo Artefacts,old Turriff photographs and temporary exhibitions.
The Robes and Regalia of Turriff Town Council which was disbanded in 1975 are on display.
Session Cottage Museum , Castle Street
A charming 18th century but n ben, reflecting life 100 years ago.

During the summer months
Friday from 10:00-11:00
Saturday from 10:00 until 12:00, and by arrangement.

We are often working in the Auld Post Office, if you see an open door, please come in. A warm welcome awaits you.
We have wheelchair access at the Auld Post Office Museum with limited access at Session Cottage.

Just a reminder that anyone in Britain is welcome to join the Society for a cost of £10 annually. Subscriptions may be paid at the Auld Post Office.
We are run totally by volunteers and rely on both fundraising and donations for our rent and running costs.
We are always delighted to accept new volunteers and have various roles to fill. Even if you could only offer a small amount of time it would be invaluable to us.
